Real-Time AI Policy Enforcement for Claude Enterprise Is Now Generally Available

Real-Time AI Policy Enforcement for Claude Enterprise Is Now Generally Available

Enterprise AI adoption is accelerating, but so are the governance challenges that come with it. As organizations deploy AI assistants, coding tools and collaborative agents, they need assurance that every interaction aligns with their security and compliance policies. Today, Airia is announcing general availability of its support for Claude inference hooks, delivering real-time policy enforcement across Claude Enterprise.

What Are Inference Hooks and Why Do They Matter?

Inference hooks represent a significant step forward in AI governance. Rather than reviewing AI activity after the fact, inference hooks allow enterprises to evaluate and enforce policies inline, before Claude processes a request or returns a response.

When a user submits a prompt or Claude receives a result from a connected tool, MCP server, skill or plugin, Airia evaluates the content against organizational policies. The system then returns an allow or deny decision in real time. Requests that violate policy can be blocked before they ever reach Claude.

This capability first rolled out to early access customers in August and is now available to all customers through a single organization-level configuration. The result is consistent policy enforcement across Claude chat, Claude Code and Claude Cowork without requiring separate configurations for each surface.

Expanded Compliance API Coverage

Alongside inference hooks, Airia has expanded its support as Claude’s Compliance API reaches more enterprise surfaces. Compliance API support now extends to:

  • Claude Cowork
  • Claude Code
  • Claude for Microsoft 365 add-ins
  • Claude Science

Expanded capabilities are also available in beta for Claude Enterprise customers where applicable. This broader coverage means organizations can maintain visibility and control as Claude expands into new workflows and environments.

Unified Governance Across Your AI Stack

One of the core challenges enterprises face is managing AI governance across multiple models, agents and tools. Through the Airia integration, supported Claude Enterprise activity flows into a unified governance environment alongside other AI models and agents your organization uses.

Security, compliance and IT teams can analyze activity against organizational policies to identify:

  • Sensitive data exposure
  • Prompt injection attempts
  • Risky agent and tool behavior
  • Acceptable use violations

This unified approach eliminates the need to manage separate governance workflows for each AI platform in your environment.

From Detection to Prevention

AI governance has traditionally been reactive. Organizations would review logs, identify violations and respond after the fact. Inference hooks change this dynamic by enabling proactive enforcement.

“AI governance has to operate at the speed and scale of the technology it governs,” said Kevin Kiley, CEO of Airia. “We were early to support Claude’s Compliance API and moved quickly to bring inference hooks to customers. Now, organizations can enforce their policies inline across Claude Enterprise before a violation occurs. That is what active governance requires.”

Airia can also trigger automated runbooks, including security alerts, tickets and escalations for review. Combined with inference hooks, organizations now have governance capabilities that span from retrospective detection and investigation to real-time prevention.

What This Means for Enterprise AI Teams

For security teams, inference hooks provide a new layer of protection against data leakage and policy violations. For compliance teams, the expanded Compliance API coverage delivers the visibility needed to demonstrate adherence to regulatory requirements. For IT teams, a single organization-level configuration simplifies deployment and management.

As AI agents become more capable and more deeply integrated into enterprise workflows, the ability to enforce policies at the point of execution becomes essential. Airia’s support for Claude inference hooks delivers that capability today.
